Annual Premier’s Concert To Be Rescheduled
The Department of Culture is advising that, out of respect for the late Ottiwell Simmons, whose funeral is set for Sunday [June 25], the annual Premier’s Concert has been postponed.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Department advised that the public will be notified when the Premier’s Concert will be rescheduled.”
We recognize the passing of this great Bermudian trailblazer who made an indelible mark on Bermuda’s culture and history. We take this opportunity to extend our sincerest and deepest condolences to Mr. Ottiwell Simmons’ family, loved ones and friends.
“It is only right and fitting that the focus of Sunday be on the late Ottiwell Simmons, who was the iconic former President of the Bermuda Industrial Union and a Member of the House of Assembly.”
