‘Carnival Venezia’ Cruise Makes Inaugural Visit

Bermuda welcomed the Carnival Venezia cruise ship for its inaugural visit on Saturday [June 17].

The Bermuda Government tweeted the photo below, saying: “lThe vessel arrived at  am with 4,759 passengers. Visitors enjoyed a full day on the island. The cruise ship departed at 4 pm for New York.

“Attending the onboard plaque exchange were: The Minister of Transport, Hon. Wayne L Furbert, Captain of Carnival Venezia, Chairman of WEDCO, Mr. Neville Tyrrell and the Minister of Tourism, Hon. Vance Campbell.”
