Gasoline Prices Expected To Remain Same
“The price at the pump for Gasoline as of Friday, June 16, 2023, will remain at 234.10 cents/litre,” announced Premier and Minister of Finance David Burt. “This price is equal to the February 2022 level of 234.10 cents/litre, at which prices were capped for the last fifteen months.
“Diesel, for the third consecutive month, is below its price cap of 212.2 cents/litre and will be 203.0 cent/litre, 4.2 cents/litre lower than last month. For the second time, Kerosene is below its price cap of 178.6 cents/litre and will now be 170.0 cents/litre, 4.6 cents/litre lower than last month.
“Our motorists continue to benefit from the support provided by the price cap put into place in February 2022. This assistance is consistent with this Government’s commitment to providing relief to help residents and businesses during this period of high global inflation.
“Though global oil prices have moderated, the importation price for gasoline hasn’t fallen to a level where they are below the price cap. If current trends carry into next month, I am hopeful that next month I will be able to announce that gasoline will again fall below the price cap,” concluded Premier Burt.
The Government provided the charts below saying they show the maximum monthly prices since January 2022
A magicians master stroke. Spend tax money when world prices are up, and spend tax payers money when world prices are down. No wonder we have a diyfunctional Minister of Finance.
