Bermuda Cycling Teams Win Medals In Canada
Bermuda had two teams from Bicycle Works race in Canada at the summer solstice 24-Hour Relay Mountain Bike race.
A team of 5 women — captain Jenn Wilson, Panzy Olander, Laurie Orchard, Karen Bordage, and Jennie Lightbourne — finished 1st in the Five Person All Female Team event completing 21 laps in a time of 23:56:45.
A team of 5 men — Captain James Holloway, Grant Goudge, Alan Potts, Ian Port [who used to live in Bermuda about 10 years ago] and Andrew Olive — finished 3rd in the Five Person Age Group 250 Plus [Avg. 50+] clocking a time of 24:03:00.
