Emma Harvey Wins Silver At CAC Games

Bermuda swimmer Emma Harvey won a silver medal in the 50 metres backstroke at the Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador, El Salvador, last night [June 24].
Harvey came second in the final in 29.01sec, just 0.42 seconds behind the winner, Tayde Sensores, of Mexico. Bermudian Madelyn Moore finished fourth in 29.51, just 0.07 seconds behind Elizabeth Jiminez, of the Dominican Republic, who took bronze.
Also last night, Bermuda’s team of Harvey, her brother Jack, Moore and Benedict Parfit placed seventh in the 4×100 mixed relay in 4:03.43.
Harvey returns to the pool for the 100 heats this afternoon.
