Marsh Folly Road One Lane Closure Extended
The Ministry of Public Works advised that “due to the inclement weather last week, the ongoing Marsh Folly Road rock cut repair works had to be extended to Friday, June 30th, 2023.”
A Government spokesperson said, “The repair work will continue to require a lane closure. The lane closures shall only commence during construction working hours from 7:00 am through to 6:00 pm daily. Thereafter the road will be reopened for night and early morning traffic.
“The works will continue to require a temporary lane closure for the eastbound lane until Thursday, June 29th, 2023. Followed by a final temporary road closure on Friday, June 30th, 2023.
“Motorists are advised to use Canal Road, Dutton Avenue, Black Watch Pass, Langton Hill, and North Shore Road for detour routes. The bus stops & sidewalk along Marsh Folly Road at this location will be closed. Bus Passengers are advised to use alternative bus stops along Cedar Avenue and the Saltus School bus stop on St. John’s Road.
“Traffic control will be managed by Barclays Construction representatives through cones, barricades and stop and go signs.
“The Ministry of Public Works encourages the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.
