TCD: Testing Centres Equipment Upgrades
TCD is “upgrading the equipment to examine vehicles” and the TCD Southside facility will be closed from June 5 to 9, the Rockaway site will be closed between June 13 and 16 and “during the site closures, customers with appointments at Southside or Rockaway will be accommodated at the North Street facility.”
A Government spokesperson said, “The Transport Control Department [TCD] is upgrading the equipment to examine vehicles in its three testing centres at Southside, Rockaway and North Street. The work commences next week and is scheduled for completion in October 2023.
“TCD Southside facility will be closed from June 5 to 9, 2023. The Rockaway site will be closed between June 13 and 16, 2023. The closures are required to allow for the pouring of new concrete.
“During the site closures, customers with appointments at Southside or Rockaway will be accommodated at the North Street facility.
“The TCD apologises to our customers for the inconvenience caused by these necessary closures.”
