Tennis: Venezuela Defeat Bermuda In Davis Cup
Bermuda continued their Davis Cup tournament at the Club Internacional de Tenis, Asuncion, in Paraguay falling 2 – 1 to Venezuela.
Trey Mallory playing in the number one position lost 7-6, 6-4 to Rafael Salam.
Daniel Phillips then took on Ricardo Rodriguez in the second match, Rodriguez won the first set 6-0, and Phillips won the second set 7-6 before Rodriguez won the third set 6-3.
James Finnigan and Gavin Manders went down in the first set of the doubles to Juan Bianchi and Rodriguez 6-4 before an injury to their opponents saw Finnigan and Manders declared the winners.
