The Ministry of Public Works advised “that Suffering Lane in St. George’s will undergo landscaping work for overhanging tree trimming along the Five Forts Golf Course edge and the lane will be temporarily closed from Boundary Lane through to Khyber Pass.”

A Government spokesperson said, “The work will commence on Monday, July 17th, 2023 through Tuesday, July 18th, 2023 from 9am to 5pm both days.

“Residents are advised to use alternative routes via Wellington Hill Lane and Khyber Pass. Note that for the duration of the tree trimming Khyber Pass may be used as a two-way road. Proceed through it with care.

“Traffic control will be managed by St. Regis Hotel representatives through cones and signage. Motorists are advised to plan accordingly.

“The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologises for any inconvenience that may result.

“Should there be any questions regarding the partial lane closure, please contact Tina Beer-Searle, Principal Highways Engineer at #501-3044.”
