July 20-21: Harrington Sound Road Lane Closure
The Ministry of Public Works is informing the motoring public that Harrington Sound Road by Crest View Road will undergo trenching works from One Communication and a lane will be closed for motorists.
A Government spokesperson said, “The works will commence on Thursday, July 20th, 2023 through Friday, July 21st, 2023.
“Motorists when traveling will have to wait for the Stop and Go persons holding the signs, to allow traffic to flow pass the work site.
“Motorists are advised to plan accordingly.
“The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologises for any inconvenience that may result.
“Should there be any questions regarding the partial lane closure, please contact Carolina Orellana MIHE, Highways Design Engineer at #501-3031.”

This is government should just get on with it and redo the roads, properly, and legislate that companies digging up the roads have to return it in the same or better condition once theyve completed their work. It’s an endless cycle of digging, paving, and digging it up again. Companies also need to be held accountable for repairing pot holes and sinks when their trenches settle because they didn’t backfill and compact the ground properly.
