“The Summer Student Entrepreneur Program [SSEP] is an eight-week program designed to develop young Bermudians into the Island’s next wave of entrepreneurs. The program, which started July 3rd, allows participants ages 13-23 to learn practical business skills such as earning revenue, creating a business plan, conducting SWOT analyses, and much more.”

Deshun Simmons, Program Coordinator, said, “As we enter week four of the eight-week program, we begin to see how the students’ businesses take shape, and this event aims to increase awareness of the program and allows the students to strengthen their business skills.

“We’ve been able to assist the students with the necessary exposure due to the generous sponsorship of the City of Hamilton waiving vending fees for the meet and greet and a Washington Mall location due to the generosity of the Washington Properties. The students also can participate in Harbour Nights with the Chamber of Commerce, generously waiving fees for the students as they continue to support our budding young entrepreneurs.”

The spokesperson said, “The public is encouraged to come out to City Hall this Friday from 11.00am to 2.00pm to support these young entrepreneurs.
