OBA Announces Candidates Tucker & Harvey
The One Bermuda Alliance announced Glenn Tucker as its adopted candidate for Constituency 17, Pembroke Central and Thomas Harvey as its adopted candidate for Constituency 2, St. George’s West.
Constituency 17 Pembroke Central is currently held by the PLP’s Jason Hayward, while PLP MP Kim Swan is the current MP for Constituency 2 St. George’s West.
A spokesperson said, “The One Bermuda Alliance is pleased to announce Glenn Tucker as its adopted candidate for Constituency 17, Pembroke Central.
“Glenn is first and foremost a husband and father of two daughters, ages 18 and 10. Best known for his long career as an award-winning Bermudian photojournalist, Glenn’s love for all-things-Bermuda has enabled him to travel all parts of the Island – attending everything, everywhere – engaging with Bermudians from all walks of life.
“At his heart, Glenn is a people person.
“While Glenn remains an avid photographer, he has switched gears and is now a Bermuda Manager of an international financial management business.
“Armed with a passion for tourism, Glenn is also employed at the Grotto Bay Beach Resort & Spa.
“If elected to Parliament, I will focus on enhancing our Island’s tourism industry, which is vital if we hope to improve Bermuda’s economic future,” he says. “I am proud to be the candidate for constituency 17, as I am a resident there and I want to do all I can to assist my community.”
“Glenn serves on various charitable boards, including the Mirrors Programme and the Bermuda Lab Academy, which focuses on educating children with neuro-disorders. He believes life is about serving others and has demonstrated this through his work with other charitable organisations including Shriners Hospitals for Children and the Freemasons.
“Glenn attended Saltus Grammar School, the Bermuda Institute, and Fryeburg Academy. He then studied business administration and photography for two years at Allen University in Columbia, South Carolina, before returning home.
“In his spare time, when not with his family, Glenn is a keen sportsman and a DJ.”
“The One Bermuda Alliance is also pleased to announce Thomas Harvey as its adopted candidate for Constituency 2, St. George’s West.
“Thomas was born and bred in St. George’s, and his family’s roots are embedded in the St.George’s and St. David’s communities.
“He attended East End Primary and St. George’s Secondary School where he learned his trade—carpentry. Thomas went on to complete an apprenticeship at the Public Works Department, and upon completion he worked for a construction company until he decided to branch out onto his own.
“He subsequently launched Strike Force Carpentry, in addition to Strike Force Construction, Excavating and General Trucking. He was the first to have a crane truck on the island.
“A well-respected businessman, Thomas was invited to lead the St. George’s Parish Council which he did for a number of years, bringing together a team of diverse personalities who had various passions of their own, but one common goal—the betterment of the St. George’s community.
“Thomas is a leader and a consensus builder, as demonstrated by his Chairmanship of the St. George’s Parish Council. He is a team player always willing to step in where his abilities will let him.
“Growing up, he participated in various sports including softball and American football. He enjoyed sailing comets at the East End Mini Yacht Club where his father was Commodore. Thomas was active in the Wellington neighbourhood, where activities would range from fishing, swimming, playing cricket and whatever else he and his friends got into.
“A hard worker from a young age, Thomas also worked at Dowling’s Cycles during the summer and packed groceries at Outerbridge’s in addition to working with his father at Horizons Guest Colony in Paget.
“A family man, Thomas is married to Loida and has two teenage daughters, Aaliyah and Adriana. Aaliyah can be found canvassing with him from time to time.”
When will the OBA realize that announcing black candidates simply will not take them to the promised land?
What do these gentlemen bring to politics or to their communities?
Does anyone remember Mr. Harvey’s candidate rollout from 2020??
In fact, why aren’t they doing actual rollouts this time around?
And what would you be screaming about if instead they had nothing but white candidates ?
With ppl like you they can’t ‘win’ either way .
The oba has finally revealed that the party is beyond desperate after running these 2 and it’s sad.
If the OBA (or any other party) ran God himself as a candidate your programming would still cause you to scream that they were scraping the bottom of the barrel . We get it , don’t worry .
Go cry since you already know that these 2 are just fronts for a white establishment.
You’ll be the one crying when the plp comes directly after your money in the bank because they’re incapable of attracting foreign investment here thanks to their racist outlook and the IMF is wanting all the billions repaid that they borrowed and squandered.
But you’ll still be blaming de wypipo .. lol
Don’t worry.
Black privilege rules in racist Bermuda.
Your team won…and now you reap the benefits of a black government….and $4 Billion in debt.
Gaslighting black voters is the very reason these good men are simply wasting time in the OBA.
Why do you think black voters are so easily fooled?
Do you think the PLP have improved Bermuda and its economy?
How much do they pay you to sit and do this all day?
“What do these gentlemen bring to politics or to their communities?”
You could literally say the EXACT same thing which applies more for every single PLP candidate lmfaooooo don’t go there.
They bring their beautiful skin complexation with the hopes of swaying votes. We get it!
Coming from the all-black anti-white anti-foreigner party.
The only things they really believe in.
Why are you so racist? Is it because it goes hand in and with homophobia and misogyny?
It is amazing, whenever the OBA announce something a group of PLP posters who don’t normally comment on other post pop up and throw out racial divisiveness. It is intended to divide Bermudians and voters. The OBA is not and has never been a white party, it is a One Bermuda party for all Bermudians. It suits the PLP to spew racial divisiveness leading into an election, but racial divisiveness does not help Bermuda or you.
The oba aka ubp membership is 95% white party and has already lost the next election.
Kind of reveals that the majority of Bermudians are racists….Where skin colour, not common sense, dictates political will.
Reveals why the ubp changed its name to OBA to run from its racist past.
A racist past is better then the PLPs racist present, and future
What you’re saying is, you’re just like the UBP/OBA…and the PLP membership actually reflects that.
DUDE! I told you before to stop using my name! Was your other profile banned?
Stop using my name….was your other profile banned?
Reality check…..Racial hatred is directed from a totally different place than where it came from in the past
The majority of Bermudians are black, PLP voters.
Skin Color is the #1 reason why the OBA appointed them as candidates. They should’ve waited until a third party was formed.
Pushing black men/women to the front of a party that is 95% white is always a good strategy.
MAYBE 25 YEARS AGO!
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
Is that why you pushed Zane to be at the front?
Where is Zane these days?
counting his money
Jim Woolridge wrote in his book some famous words. Those little white boys don’t mind you being in charge as long as they can tell you what to do. Clearly they didn’t read his book.
The UBPoba probably paid these guys off with led lightbulbs! I’m still waiting for mine from BitCoin.
Thank you OBA the Candidates are losing good. Things are looking up.
Going further into a multi billion dollar debt…is a good thing?
Bermuda has a serious educational problem.
At least he is active. Whereas Lovitta Foggo has been AWOL for what seems, years. Mention photo.op there Lovitta. Funeral…
Remember when John Swan helped the obaubp win all those election by swaying 35% of the black votes. They turned on him like a pack of dogs when his one desire was to open up a McDonalds’s Franchise. They tossed him to the streets and locked him out of the party. When he left all the black voters left with him and the party has been nothing ever since.
Now obaubp sit back and think was is really worth it. Now we have a country that is control by the BIU and Opposition party that’s the laughing stock of the Atlantic.
‘Remember when John Swan helped the obaubp win all those election …’
Neither the BDA nor the OBA existed when Sir John Swan was actively involved in politics in Bermuda. Please learn your Bermuda “History”.
Stop being in denial mate about the present. Mental slavery is free now. Good luck trying to find another Mr. John Swan you’re going to need it since Cole is being replaced.
Go have a word with Mr. Ras Mykkal and Mr. Donte Hunt when the OBA used them as candidates.
Until the mindset of this black vs white is erased( and it won’t be by the PLP cause it’s their weapon and saviour ) and many of you OPEN YOUR EYES AND EARS AND MINDS, this island is doomed for eternity. There is a desperate need to get rid of 2 party politics and vote for people that really care about our future.
Well done to both of you for your commitment to making Bermuda a better place by running as candidates for the OBA, a party of diversity, inclusion, honesty, transparency and commitment to a better Bermuda.
When we leave race out of every conversation.
Good luck gentleman!
We don’t leave race out of anything. It’s central to our only identity.
We have nothing but racism, homophobia, and ironically, pink sand.
Always colour, what hope do we have?
The obass party only weapon is to have blacks stand at the frontline of an all white establishment. Don’t they realize that pretending to be diverse is actually lying . This might have worked in the 1980s but today’s voters see the truth.
So, you’re admitting that the majority of Bermudians, the PLP voters, are racists.
I applaud your honesty.
At least we now know why Bermuda won’t, and can’t, move forward.
Stop using my name.
Schizo is real LMFAO
If either of these candidates owns a business that has staff they have to make sure they are paid properly, regularly and protected by insurance coverage and all their taxes are paid up especially if they are foreigners. It wouldn’t be good to be seen to been living lavishly (taking big trips etc.) while people helping you to live that life are working for you without proper compensation.
Your critics are arm chair, sit on the wall bandits who just talk but you have decided to step up and get things done. Ignore the negative and let your record speak for itself.
The record is 30 to 6. 2 seats given away to the BIUplp right here. LMAO
