Appleby Sponsors Carifta Triathlon Squad
Appleby is a primary sponsor for the Bermuda Triathlon Association’s [BTA] Youth Development Squad for the 2023 Carifta Triathlon & Aquathlon Championship in Nassau, Bahamas.
A spokesperson said, “As a cornerstone supporter, Appleby is committed to fostering the growth and empowerment of this group of young athletes, firmly aligning with the organization’s commitment to nurture local sporting talent and promote healthy competition.
“The Bermuda Triathlon Association [BTA] has unveiled an impressive cohort known as the Youth Development Squad [YDS] – a group comprising of around 30 promising athletes between the ages of 11 and 17 – for the competition which is scheduled to take place on 26-28 August.
“The YDS represents an intensive program designed to nurture the skills and aspirations of local, young triathletes. By providing comprehensive coaching and support, the YDS seeks to foster the athletes’ participation in both local and international competitions. The annual CARIFTA event is the pinnacle of the YDS’ race calendar.
Appleby Partner Clive Langley, who is a member of the YDS coaching team, along with Head Coach Neil de Ste Croix, stated, “The dedication exhibited from every Youth Development Squad member throughout the summer months in their training regimens is truly commendable.
