Harry Twite, the Bermuda defender, has signed professional terms for English non-league side King’s Lynn Town after impressing on trial.

Twite joined the squad for pre-season training after representing the Bermuda Under-23 side at the NatWest International Island Games in Guernsey, the Channel Islands, last month.

The 18-year-old, who played twice for the senior national team in the Concacaf Nations League in March, could be available for tomorrow’s league match away to Chorley subject to international clearance.

Mark Hughes, the King’s Lynn manager, told the club’s website: “Harry is a young and athletic centre-back who came onto our radar last season. After competing for Bermuda Under-23s in July, he joined up with the squad late in pre-season and earned himself a contract.”

Twite added: “I am really excited to take this step forward in my professional career at this great club.”

King’s Lynn are nineteenth in the Vanarama National League North with three draws and one defeat this season.
