The Adara Group, established in Bermuda in 1998, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, and to mark this milestone, Adara’s Chair, Audette Exel, will be back on the Island next week to thank the Bermuda community for their support.

A spokesperson said, “Audette is known to many in Bermuda for her role as Managing Director of Bermuda Commercial Bank and Chair of the Bermuda Stock Exchange many years ago, and for launching Adara [then known as the ISIS Foundation] from the Crow Lane Bakery in Hamilton.”

“From our earliest days 25 years ago, Bermuda has been a huge part of our journey,” said Exel. “Countless people in Bermuda have stood with us in our vision of a world in which each and every person has access to quality health, education and other essential services.

“Thanks to this support, Adara has grown into a truly global organisation, developing and sharing models of excellence in remote education and maternal, newborn and child health in low-resource settings.”

The spokesperson said, “Adara has touched the lives of more than 600,000 people living in poverty since 1998, as well as countless others through their work in knowledge sharing.”

“From golf tournaments and Nepal treks to unwavering support in times of crisis, we’ve always known we can count on the Bermuda community to be there when it counts. Bermuda will always hold a special place in Adara’s heart as our early home and a vital part of our journey,” said Exel.

“Thank you to every single person who has stood with us over the past quarter of a century. I cannot wait to get back to my second home and see many of you.”
