Groups Hold Protest On Kindley Field Road
Multiple groups — including taxi drivers, farmers, fishermen, educators, the West End Warriors and the East End Warriors held a protest on Kindley Field this morning, with cars lined up all along the stretch and people holding signs.
Fisherman Delvin Bean was one of the people in attendance, and said, “The taxi drivers, the farmers, the fishermen, and the school teachers, the West End Warriors and the East End Warriors have put up a stand to show Government that we are serious, that we, as the people – the ones that put them in power – they need to sit up and listen to us. Enough is enough. We’ve been talking and talking and talking, and it’s literally going in one ear and out the other.”
Who do these people think that they are threatening?
On election day they are going to vote green and the PLP knows it.
The fishermen and the taxi drivers have little public support. The PLP could not care less about the farmers. The PLP happen to be correct about closing surplus schools. The noise will go away.
Nice turnout though. It really inconvenieced nobody.
Great show of support ladies and gents. Don’t give up nor in. Show government and the dribbling naysayers your livelihoods matter and those of future generations. Unite Bermuda. Stay as ONE
