Marsh Appoints Michelle Sivanayson, Tanja Korff
Michelle Sivanayson has relocated to Bermuda from Canada to take on the role of Islands Practice Leader and Tanja Korff has been named Bermuda Client Services Leader role, Marsh announced today.
A spokesperson said, “Marsh, the world’s leading insurance broker and risk adviser, announced today two Bermuda-based leadership appointments within its Marsh Captive Solutions operation.
“Michelle Sivanayson has relocated to Bermuda from Canada to take on the role of Islands Practice Leader. In this role, Ms. Sivanayson oversees Marsh’s Bermuda, Cayman, and Barbados captive operations, reporting to Ellen Charnley, President, Marsh Captive Solutions.
“Ms. Sivanayson brings nearly 20 years of captive experience to the role having started her captive career in Bermuda before moving to Halifax, Nova Scotia, to help set up and lead Marsh’s Captive Operations Group. Ms. Sivanayson succeeds Julie Boucher, who has relocated to South Carolina from Bermuda to take on the role of US Captive Chief Client Officer for Marsh.
“In addition, Tanja Korff has been named Bermuda Client Services Leader role, reporting to Ms. Sivanayson. In this role, Ms. Korff is responsible for delivering Marsh’s world class captive capabilities and advice to clients in Bermuda. Ms. Korff joined Marsh Captive Solutions in 2006 and most recently lead client service teams in the US out Columbus, Ohio. She has relocated to Bermuda where she started her captive career, and succeeds Mike Parrish, who has transitioned into a new role supporting a number of Marsh’s European captive clients.”
Commenting on Ms. Sivanayson and Ms. Korff’s appointments, Ms. Charnley said: “As the captive insurance industry continues to experience exceptional growth, having the right leadership in place in Bermuda – a key domicile for our captive clients – is essential.
