Local bodybuilder Ross Caesar hopes his recent impressive achievements on the international stage have inspired others to chase their goals.

Caesar followed up his superb third-place finish in the men’s classic physique at the prestigious IFBB Pro League Masters Olympia in Cluj, Romania, last weekend with a second place in the men’s over-50 classic physique in the IFBB Pro League Masters World Championships in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, yesterday [September 3].

The 50-year-old, who has been competing for more than three decades, paid tribute to his family and the Bermudian bodybuilding community for helping him achieve his targets.

“I knew it was going to be challenging to repeat peak conditioning a week apart,” said Caesar, who earned his pro card in 2019.

“I’m truly grateful to represent Barbados and Bermuda at such a high level.

“I couldn’t have achieved these goals without my strong support system – God, first, and my three sons, Honor, Jada and Stefon, my friends in Barbados and Bermuda, Carmichael Bryan, Garwin Phillips, Melanie DeRosa, Ultimate Fitness Club and my very supportive clients.”

The six-times “Mr Bermuda” added: “I truly hope my journey has inspired more than a few people and other competitors and shown anything is possible at any age with patience and consistency and a strong supportive environment and people.”
