BTA ‘Thrilled’ Bermuda Is #1 In Condé Nast
“We are thrilled to receive the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Award on behalf of Bermuda,” BTA CEO Tracy Berkeley said, adding that it’s a “testament to our destination’s offerings to visitors.”
This follows after Bermuda was named by Condé Nast Traveler as the top island in the “Caribbean and the Atlantic” category, earning the top score of 90.14.
A spokesperson said, “Condé Nast Traveler revealed the winners of its prestigious Readers’ Choice Awards [RCA], with Bermuda claiming the #1 spot in the highly competitive Islands of the Caribbean and Atlantic category. This remarkable achievement, based on the feedback of over 240,000 readers celebrates Bermuda as an unparalleled destination that inspires and delights visitors.
“The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are published on the magazine’s website and will be celebrated in the November issue of the US publication, solidifying Bermuda’s well-deserved place among the world’s premier travel destinations.

BTA thrilled with another award. So what? Where are the increases in tourist arrivals, excluding those on business, own a fractional or other property, or visiting family and friends? Don’t hear much on the primary reason the BTA exists and receives so much in funding.
The BTA exists to promote tourism for Bermuda and to give an appearance of independence from the PLP Government.
The appearance of independence from the PLP Government is just that, appearance only. We’ve all seen what happened to BTA executives who did not do what the PLP Government wanted done.
Bermuda needs a body to promote tourism. It used to be the Department of Tourism. Now it is the BTA.
Is that one of the beaches at Coopers island? Can’t get my bearings on that one. On the other hand please advise on our offerings to visitors other than beaches I am trying to get an idea on those.
It is Cooper Island, look toward Nonsuch Island. A beautiful sight.
I, too, would be interested in the criteria that we excelled at… above all others. Which other Atlantic islands were we ‘up against’?
