[Updating] The bye-election in Smith’s South was held, with the OBA’s Ben Smith winning with 73.24% of the vote, defeating the PLP’s Mischa Fubler who earned 26.76%. The bye-election had been called due to the resignation of Cole Simons, who had held the seat for twenty years, and will mark a return to the House of Assembly for Ben Smith, who previously served as an MP.

    I thought Cherly Packwood was a member of the FDM CONSTITUENCY -7, HAMILTON SOUTH. Did they fold?

    The PLP said “uphill battle as residents on this part of the Island have never been represented by anyone but the UBP or OBA”. They know better as the low support for the PLP is more likely because the residents are suffering from the years of a PLP Government.
