Nia Christopher Named CAA Co-Offensive Player
Bermudian footballer Nia Christopher, who plays for the Towson University women’s team, has been named the CAA Co-Offensive Player of the Week, marking the third time this season she has earned the honour.
The CAA stated, “Christopher scored a goal and provided an assist in each of Towson’s two matches, helping the Tigers secure their first CAA regular-season title. The senior from Bermuda contributed to two of the three goals in Towson’s 3-0 victory over William & Mary and was instrumental in both goals during the Tigers’ 2-0 win against Hofstra.”
Towson commented, “Christopher netted a goal and assisted another in both victories against William & Mary [3-0] and Hofstra [2-0] this past week. This marks the third time this season that Christopher has received the CAA Offensive Player of the Week honor, the highest number of recognitions for any player in the league this year.”
