St Andrew’s Day Ball To Be Held On Nov 25
The Caledonian Society of Bermuda announced the return of the St. Andrew’s Day Ball after a three-year hiatus, with the event set to be held on November 25th.
A spokesperson said, “The Caledonian Society of Bermuda, registered charity #896, is delighted to announce the return of the St. Andrew’s Day Ball after a hiatus of three years The Ball will be held at the Hamilton Princess Hotel on Saturday, 25th November, in the main ballroom, with the cocktail reception starting at 6:30pm and the main event from 8:00pm.
“The Ball is the Society’s major fundraising event of the year, with proceeds going to the Education Awards supporting Bermudian students undertaking tertiary education in a college or university in Scotland. The most recent recipient [2019] was Marcus Simmons who studied Nautical Science at the City of Glasgow College.
“There will be a raffle and silent auction on the night with many attractive prizes and auction items for guests to bid for.
“On entry to the reception, guests will receive a complimentary cocktail, compliments of Bacardi.
“During the reception, members of the Bermuda Highland Dancers will give a demonstration of highland dancing, an event much enjoyed by guests in previous years.
“A multi-course dinner will be served during the Ball, with a bottle of wine per couple on the table. The Dance Caller/MC will once again keep guests on their feet with dances old and new; the Bermuda Islands Pipe Band will play live, and DJ Aztec will provide musical support and keep the party bouncing late into the evening.
“The dance practice will be held on Wednesday 22nd October at a venue to be announced.
