Bermudian boxer Tyler Christoper faces a spell on the sidelines after fracturing his left hand during his points win over Connor Meanwell in the headline bout at the H Suite in Edgbaston, Birmingham, on Saturday [October 21].
Christopher extended his perfect professional record to eight victories with a controlled and measured display over Meanwell in a four-round middleweight contest.
The 27-year-old, who returned to action after a six-month absence, told Bernews: “I won’t be hitting anything for six weeks. My hand is in a cast. I wasn’t going to be punching until the new year anyway.”
Christopher moved to Birmingham four years ago to pursue a pro boxing career and trains at the D&A Boxing School of Excellence in Stirchley under coach Anthony Hull.
