WindReach Appoint Kate Terceira As Director
WindReach announced the appointment of Kate Terceira as Executive Director, effective November 1, 2023.
A spokesperson said, “The Directors of WindReach are pleased to announce the appointment of Kate Terceira as Executive Director, effective November 1, 2023. Ms Terceira’s appointment follows an extensive search process by the WindReach Nominations Committee following the retirement of incumbent Executive Director Tina Nash.”
Ross Webber, Chair of the Nominations Committee commented, “We were pleasantly surprised and flattered by both the quality and quantity of prospective candidates who were interested in helping further the mission of WindReach. Kate’s combination of third-sector experience, WindReach familiarity, expertise in therapeutic riding, engaging personality, and overall honed management skills, made her the best choice for this position and we are delighted that she has chosen WindReach for this leadership role.”
A spokesperson said, “Prior to joining WindReach, Ms Terceira was Group Coordinator and Equine Specialist for Seaglass Clinical Consulting, a boutique Bermudian mental health clinic providing specialist psychiatric and psychological services. Kate took on the Seaglass role following five years as Executive Director of the Bermuda SPCA. Among her other roles, Kate was the Equine Services Manager for WindReach for 13 years between 2003 – 2016.
“Along with her many certifications and qualifications, Ms Terceira also holds the Non-Profit Management Certificate. Ms. Terceira will have a handover with Ms Nash prior to commencing as Executive Director on November 1. ”
Ms Terceira commented “I am thrilled to return to WindReach. The broad spectrum of therapeutic, educational, and inclusive experiences available to members of the community with physical and intellectual support needs that are available at WindReach are truly inspiring. I look forward to continuing to take the charities vision and mission into the next exciting phase of development.”
