November 6, 2023 | 2 Comments

BermudAir is offering a seat sale for all three of their routes, with the company stating that “fares for economy flights start from $398 round trip, and $149 one-way, including fees and taxes.”

A spokesperson said, “BermudAir, the locally-based boutique airline serving Bermuda and the US East coast, is extending its introductory flight promotion by offering special fares for the holiday season and into the New Year.

“The promotion now incorporates a seat sale for the airline’s economy service. Bookings must be made between Monday 6th and Wednesday 8th November 2023, for two travel periods: November 15th – December 20th, 2023, and January 10th – March 20th, 2024.”

“This promotion will dovetail nicely with our introduction of dual class service,” said Adam Scott, Founder and CEO of BermudAir.

“It gives residents who haven’t yet experienced BermudAir the opportunity to take advantage of special rates prior to the holidays and into the New Year. Our objective is also to help bring visitors here across that period, and especially during the traditionally quieter post-holiday months for Bermuda.”

The spokesperson said, “The promotion is available for flights on all BermudAir’s routes: Boston, Fort Lauderdale and Westchester, NY. The fares for economy flights start from $398 round trip, and $149 one-way, including fees and taxes.”

“This is our first seat sale promotion and we’re excited to see the results for us and the market,” Mr Scott added. “It helps us to keep up momentum for bookings through the winter season, while recognising how much the community has embraced BermudAir and what we’re trying to achieve with the island.

“We really appreciate the warmth, support and positive feedback we’ve received from the guests who’ve travelled with us and Bermuda overall. We look forward to welcoming new and previous guests on board throughout the season.”

The spokesperson said, “Bookings for the promotion can be made via the airline’s website www.flybermudair.com, the BermudAir app or the Customer Service Centre on 543-9200.”

I so wanted to like this airline but having flown, it has a lot of work to do.

The website is like something from the dark ages, you cannot add your TSA pre details – a major pain, you were supposed to have your own security but that hasn’t happened and obviously the Bermuda security line only opens at 7am so you queue despite paying top dollar. Food was a croissant and that’s it, the movie selection is literally 10 movies, most of which are cartoons, the wifi doesn’t work, there is no power outlet and worst of all it is a reconditioned budget airline where your knees are in your face. Where are the business pods?

If I had spent 50 grand on be a founders club member I would be asking for my money back, Bermudair needs to fix itself pretty quickly or it will go the way of zoom etc.

It sounds like you were expecting something like NetJets. Think of BermudaAir as a regional airline, at least for now. That is the market that the Embraer 175 is aimed at.

Alternatively, you can book your next flight on a major American airline and pay the considerably higher price.
