Lane Closures On Harrington Sound Road
There are multiple lane closures on Harrington Sound Road in Hamilton and Smiths Parishes that are “currently ongoing and will expand through December 15th, 2023.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works, in conjunction with Invisible Trenching Ltd, wish to inform the motoring public that there will be multiple lane closures along Harrington Sound Road in Hamilton and Smiths parishes.
“The lane closures will allow for the current road crossing trench work near Whitecrest Hill in Hamilton Parish to be completed and for the road section near Harrington Sound School to be milled and paved by the Ministry of Public Works.
“These lane closures are currently ongoing and will expand through December 15th, 2023. Working hours will be from 9am through 5pm.
“Traffic control will be under the direction of Invisible trenching and Ministry of Public Works representatives with traffic lights and stop-and-go signs.
“The public is advised to travel cautiously through these areas and follow representatives’ instructions. The police have been encouraged to ticket motorists speeding past the construction sites and putting construction workers in danger.
“The Ministry of Public Works wishes to invite the full cooperation of the motoring public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.
