It would have been nice to know fireworks were going to be happening before it happened or did I miss the memo…..
Pure – 100%.
We live up Shelton Road, not far outside of town.
Would’ve been amazing to know before my 7 year old son got woken up by my dog’s frantic barking, which woke all of us up, and pretty much every surrounding house – *at 10:00pm*
With Cancer Walk, Rugby, Football games @ Stadium, it’s public knowledge that stuff is going on – this came out of the blue.
I agree. I love fireworks and I would have gone into town to watch had I known.
Cry me a river. It’s funny how a certain segment are complaining about the fireworks, because it’s disturbed their quiet Harbor Road sleep.
I’ll bet those same people will be lining the golf course and Rugby, later.
How it feel when the shoe on the other foot.
Some of us normal people get this on a regular basis.
Just ask Mr B. Trew
“Paul”, not sure how good your English comprehension is,
so for the benefit of the doubt, *this* “certain segment” lives up Shelton Road, not Harbor Road.
And, *this* “normal person” does get it on a regular basis, living very close to National (Football, cancer walk for life, sports events) and Front Street (these fireworks, motor shows, Habor nights).
Please note – I wholeheartedly support ANYTHING that puts in to the BDA economy & community – however, mostly those that give advanced notice like 99% of my list above.
“DM86″ looks like I struck a nerve, because nowhere did I ever suggest my response as directed at you.
I saw plenty of messages on MAJ listing, and most of those individuals stated they lived on Harbor Road.
The noise woke up my poor doggy, which then in turn woke up my son, who then in turn woke up the family.
Like I said, Cry me a River.
What was the occasion, just clebrating Nov the 8th?
