Police Reiterate Appeal To Locate 16-Year-Old
The police reiterated their appeal to locate 16-year-old Ajahni Lema-Bascome, noting that it has been ten days since he was reported missing, adding that “harboring a juvenile is an offence punishable under the law.”
A police spokesperson said, “Today, Monday, November 20th, marks the tenth day since 16-year-old, Ajahni Lema-Bascome was first reported missing.
“Someone knows where Ajahni is. If you are that person, we urge you to immediately contact the main police number, 295-0011 and advise of his whereabouts.
“As a reminder, at 16 years of age, Ajahni is still considered a juvenile and to be clear, harboring a juvenile is an offence punishable under the law.
“A person guilty of this offence is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $3,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months.
“Ajahni is described as being 5’ 8” in height, approximately 125lbs, light complexioned, slim built, with dark hair worn unkempt or in plaits.
“He was last seen around 11:30pm on Thursday 9th November 2023 in the Slippery Hill St. George’s area.
“At the time, he was wearing dark pants, a dark jacket, white socks, dark-coloured Crocs.
“Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Ajani Lema-Bascome, is asked to call the main police number, 295-0011.”
