PGA Tour Highlights Oliver Betschart
The PGA Tour highlighted the island’s Oliver Betschart on social media yesterday [Nov 8] as the young golfer gets set to take part in the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, which gets underway at Port Royal Golf Course today [Nov 9].
Betschart will be the second 15-year-old Bermudian to play in the championship after Kenny Leseur, who was six months older when he qualified in 2019, and he will be the youngest player to compete in a PGA Tour event since 2014
The post on social media said, “Oliver Betschart made an ace at Port Royal GC at age 7. The now 15-year-old is back in Bermuda competing in his first PGA TOUR start on the same course he grew up on.”
