Remembrance Day Parade On November 11
The Remembrance Day parade will be held on Saturday morning [Nov 11] on Front Street.
The Government spokesperson said, “In solemn remembrance of those men and women who served in armed conflicts, Bermuda is set to observe Remembrance Day 2023 with the annual Remembrance Day Ceremony and Parade on Saturday, 11 November.
“The ceremony will begin at 10.30 a.m. at the Cenotaph. Led by Her Excellency the Governor, Rena Lalgie, wreaths will be laid by civic leaders and Uniformed Service Chiefs.
“War veterans, guards from the Royal Bermuda Regiment, Bermuda Police Service, Royal Bermuda Regiment Junior Leaders, and Bermuda Sea Cadets, will participate in the parade. The Royal Bermuda Regiment Association will also have members on parade.
“Musical renditions will be presented by the Royal Bermuda Regiment Band & Corps of Drums, the Somerset Brigade Band, the Salvation Army Band, and the Bermuda Islands Pipe Band.
“For those who cannot be physically present, we extend a warm invitation to view the ceremony live on the Government’s Facebook page or on CITV’s YouTube channel [WOW Channel 102] and OneComm Channel 2. Please take note that in anticipation of the parade, there will be road closures on Saturday morning. To avoid any inconveniences, we encourage you to consider alternative routes.”
