White And Hopkins To Hold Cycling Camp
[Written by Stephen Wright]
Top Bermudian cyclists Conor White and Kaden Hopkins have teamed up to share their knowledge and expertise with up-and-coming riders at the Winter Cycling Camp at Clearwater Beach next month.
Hopkins and White represented Bermuda at the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, in October, with White winning the bronze medal in the men’s individual time-trial.
Hopkins races professionally with French team – Vendee U – a Division One development outfit for Team TotalEnergies.
The junior development camp is for youngsters aged ten to 16 of all skill levels, with 30 spots available each day on December 16, 17 and 18 from noon to 3 pm.
Each day will focus on a different aspect of riding: day one – bike handling; day two – group ride and pace line technique; and day three – race day. Sign-up is available for one, two or all three days.
Participants must be comfortable riding without assistance and have a road bike and helmet.
Attendance for all three days is $120 or $50 per day.
