BNT Call For Entries In Calendar Photo Contest

The Bermuda National Trust [BNT] is inviting anyone with an interest in photography to submit entries for its Bermuda Natural Wonderland 2025 Calendar Photo Contest, featuring Bermuda’s flora and fauna.”

“Last year was the first time we invited all members of the community to contribute to our annual calendar, and the result was a beautiful, very well-received 2024 calendar showcasing Bermuda’s stunning architecture,” said Dr Dörte Horsfield, Head of Development & Engagement.

“More than 200 photos were submitted by a diverse group of photographers and the best were chosen for the final design. Based on the success of the 2024 Calendar we are now looking for submissions from amateur and professional photographers of all ages again.”

The spokesperson said, “BNT invites anyone to use their artistic skills to capture Bermuda’s fascinating natural wonderland, both plant and animals. Entries will be judged based on creativity, originality, portrayal of the theme, and overall impact. Finalists will be featured in the Bermuda National Trust Calendar 2025. The People’s Choice winner will also receive $500.”

“The calendar is one of our annual fundraisers that allows us to fulfill our mission of protecting and promoting Bermuda’s unique natural and cultural heritage, for everyone, forever. It is supported by many local businesses who sponsor the individual calendar pages every year and we are thankful for their loyal funding,” said Dr Horsfield.

The spokesperson said, “Submissions should be sent to palmetto@bnt.bm along with contact information by 1 March 2024. To be featured in the calendar, photographs must be submitted in .jpeg, .jpg or .gif format, at least 640 pixels on the short side and no more than 2,000 pixels on the longer side. Images should be no larger than 10 MB.
