Good thing it is not an electric car! Saltwater and an EV battery pack do not mix well.

  2. Triangle Drifter says:

Another example of a car ploughing through a wooden barrier. The occupants are fortunate that they were not impaled by the wood.

A proper steel barrier would have gone long way to keeping the car on the road and not overboard.

    • Hilarious! says:

Good points. Wood barely stops someone on a bicycle. Add another $15 million to the next budget for steel barriers.

What I’ve been saying for many years.

    • Question says:

They can’t even fill in the potholes.

    • debra tucker says:

This country is so way behind the times in a lot of areas. The wooden barriers should have been removed years ago and galvanized steel barriers should have been erected, the only area that i know that has steel barriers is just off of john smith beach area in the south shore, although I do believe it would cost our taxes to increase but that is what is needed for the safety of our motorist.

      • Joe Bloggs says:

Happy Valley Road also has steel barriers at the eastern end (by the park), but this is Bermuda and steel rusts.

People who travel at the speed limit (!) should not need steel barriers.

  3. Question says:

This topped off an entire weekend of lousy driving.

  4. Triangle Drifter says:

Stupid car. It went through the useless wooden barrier all by itself. No fault of the driver. The car simply had enough time being on the road.

    Stupid, stupid car.

    • Hilarious! says:

Imagine if it was an electric car and it was scared of driving too close to salt water.
