Draw To Win $500 With BELCO E-Billing
In an effort to reduce paper use, BELCO has launched a campaign to encourage more customers to opt for electronic bills, with all paperless billing customers to be entered into a draw to win a $500 BELCO gift voucher.
A spokesperson said, “Bermuda Electric Light Company Limited [BELCO] today announced the launch of an ebilling campaign which aims to get more customers signed up for electronic bills.
“The campaign will run from today until Earth Day on Monday April 22 when there will be a draw for a $500 BELCO gift voucher with all customers signed up for ebilling entered. All paperless billing customers at the time of the draw will be entered and eligible to win.
“BELCO is launching the campaign as part of the Company’s long-standing commitment to sustainability with the campaign aimed at reducing paper use. Every month approximately 10,600 bills are printed and mailed, and customers can help reduce this paper use by switching to ebilling.
“Switching to paperless billing is easy. Customers can visit a dedicated page on the BELCO website at belco.bm/belco-paperless-billing or send an email to info@belco.bm to sign up. Paper production uses a large amount of energy and water and contributes to climate change. By opting to receive ebills, customers can help save trees, energy and water and reduce carbon emissions for a more sustainable planet.”
BELCO President, Wayne Caines said: “As we begin a New Year, we are renewing our commitment to sustainability and a simple way we can further our goal is to reduce the amount of paper we use. I encourage customers who haven’t signed up for ebills yet to do so, by working together, we can reduce our environmental impact and progress our goal of ensuring BELCO becomes a more sustainable Company.”
