“The insights that are gathered will inform the development of a 3-year strategy that addresses some of the most pressing issues facing seniors. The strategy will serve as a roadmap for the community, guiding efforts to enhance the quality of life for seniors and create a more age-friendly society.

“It is essential that the voices of present and future seniors are heard to advance a collaborative, coordinated, and accountable strategy. Forum participants will share their views on many topics, including healthcare, social services, housing, and community engagement. Participants will be encouraged to highlight examples of positive ageing and successful initiatives, propose innovative solutions, and identify areas of concern.”

“I believe that the best solutions emerge when we bring together the collective wisdom of our community. The National Seniors Strategy Community Forum is an opportunity for everyone to share their views and shape the future of senior care and support in Bermuda,” said the Minister of Youth, Social Development, and Seniors Tinée Furbert.

The Government spokesperson said, “The forum will be hosted on February 7th, 2024, at the Bermuda National Sports Centre Pavilion. Interested attendees should plan to attend either the morning [11 am - 12:30 pm] or afternoon [5 pm – 6:30 pm] session. Light refreshments will be served.
