Catalina Re has made a $10,000 donation to the Friends of Hospice [FoH].
Catalina Re’s ESG Committee Chair and Group Treasury Manager, Tina Rego, said: “Given the profound affect Friends of Hospice has had in our community over the past 29 years, Catalina is highly supportive of contributing to their cause.”
“The sole mandate of Friends of Hospice [registered charity #391] is to support Agape House, Bermuda’s only hospice, through its fundraising efforts, therapeutic and emotional support programmes and volunteer services.”
“Catalina Re’s ESG Committee’s focus is to ensure that our culture, core values and sound business practices continually and positively impact the communities in which we live and work”, said Sakina Darrell, Catalina Re HR Business Partner and ESG Deputy Chair.
“We are particularly delighted to be able to support and assist the Friends of Hospice at this time, during the Help Us Grow campaign, which marks the next chapter of palliative care in Bermuda.”
Jennifer Mahoney, Executive Director of the Friends of Hospice said, “Friends of Hospice are extremely grateful for the generosity of Catalina Re and the faith that they have exhibited in this critical initiative.
“The Help Us Grow campaign is truly a catalyst for change as it will provide us with the platform needed to deliver enhanced palliative and eldercare services to the community in an inclusive, caring environment that promotes dignity, respect, and a true sense of belonging. Every donation takes us one step closer to making this dream a reality.”
