Jamin Hodgkins Helps Bridgend Beat Pontypridd
Bermudian Jamin Hodgkins helped Bridgend Ravens earn a 15-13 win at home to Pontypridd in the Welsh Indigo Group Premiership on Saturday [January 20].
A crowd of more than 2,000 turned out on a day that the club paid tribute to former player and Wales legend JPR Williams, a regular visitor to Bermuda for the World Rugby Classic.
Hodgkins, a former Bermuda Under-19 player, kicked four penalties in his team’s close-fought victory.
The fly-off, who made his debut for the Ravens against Merthyr last weekend, is a former Warwick Academy student and now attends Cardiff Met University. He has also represented the Canada national team.
The Ravens face Cardiff at Cardiff Arms Park on Saturday.
