23 Triathletes To Compete In Florida Event
The Bermuda Triathlon Team are preparing for the Clermont Draft Legal event at Lake Louisa State Park in Florida, with twenty-three athletes set to compete.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Triathlon Team is gearing up for an exhilarating challenge as they prepare to embark on a journey to the prestigious Clermont Draft Legal event, set to take place in Lake Louisa State Park, Florida this weekend.
“One of the most competitive and thrilling events on the triathlon calendar, the Clermont Draft Legal presents an opportunity for Bermuda’s junior athletes to showcase their talent and prowess in a high-octane race format against international competition. Twenty-three Bermuda athletes will race will compete over two days against competitors from across the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.
“Jamie Bedford and Oliver Hayward will race in the National Development Race over the Sprint Distance, with Carina Bortoli taking part in the Age Group Race over the Super-Sprint Distance. Luca Bortoli, Lucas Bule, Makao Butterfield, Jens Drea, Dylan Eiselt, Spencer Haldeman, Jasper Lau, Jacob LeClerc, Rory Shepherd, Sanchez Smith, Rohan Roopra, Jacob Wright and Dominic Wright will race in the boy’s Youth Development Race over the Super-Sprint Distance.
“In the girl’s Youth Development Race, Elena Bortoli, Zara Bule, Isla Cooze, Sofia Leclerc, Riana Robinson, Ella Shepherd and Kelise Wade will represent Bermuda. Bedford and Bortoli will also race in the Mixed Team Relay on Sunday.
“Led by Junior National Coach, Neil de ste Croix, the Bermuda Triathlon Team comprises upcoming athletes who have dedicated countless hours to training and preparation for this showcase event.”
