  1. Steve says:

Balanced budget? More BS from PLP

  2. Triangle Drifter says:

Come next February we shall see how balanced this budget will be. Don’t count on it. Plenty of supplementary requests to come.

  3. Infrastructure is failing says:

This is a surface level facade as our infrastructure is failing and the government neglects their responsibilities. I have been questioning the health and safety standards and infrastructure at my workplace for over a decade and they have been failing to do anything about it. Matter of fact every time I mention that they need to do better with the infrastructure for safety and health reasons they immediately run to the budget and say “there is no money for my request.” I am very disappointed because the laws do not state that health and safety infrastructure is an option and that it should only be done if it is affordable. Meanwhile the workers are suffering from the consequences of not having what should have been in place a long time ago. I have even had disciplinary actions against me for questioning why they are not doing their part. Moreover workers are suffering debilitating health problems which can be attributed to the lack of adequate safety measures being taken. Now if I get into the particular issues then I expose myself to more backlash from management. However just look at the state of the roads and the fact that the asphalt plant has to be replaced and ask yourself is this truly a balanced budget or a campaign facade for the upcoming election next year. Thank you Colonel Burch for publicly stating that the government over the past decades have failed in the infrastructure upkeep especially with the asphalt plant. This is a man with nothing to gain in the upcoming election and has spoken truthfully. He will be missed as a politician for his excellent work over the years. However I am also going to hold David Burt at his word that he too will stand down in the next election. That way his crew of consultants will be dismissed as well.

  4. Hilarious! says:

The enormous savings from 70 Chinese electric buses saved the day! WOW, just incredible. (sarcasm) Government must move swiftly to replace all its evil fossil fuel-powered fleet of cars with Chinese EVs for further savings and to save the planet.

  5. Question says:

They do not plan to maintain the roads. Any d amn fool can ‘balance the budget’ if they don’t plan on providing basic government infrastructure.
