Hamilton Parish & Devonshire Cougars Win
The Football Challenge Cup Quarter Finals were held this weekend, with Hamilton Parish and Devonshire Cougars both earning wins.
Hamilton Parish 3 – Tuff Dogs 1
Hamilton Parish secured a spot in the Semi-Finals of the FA Challenge Cup with a 3-1 victory over Tuff Dogs at the Wellington Oval.
The match saw Macquille Walker open the scoring for Hamilton Parish in the 12th minute, followed by Kyle Hamilton’s equalizer for Tuff Dogs in the 33rd minute. However, Mauriq Hill quickly restored Hamilton Parish’s lead just two minutes later, which they maintained until halftime.
In the 52nd minute, Hamilton Parish extended their lead to 3-1 courtesy of Walker’s second goal of the game.
Dandy Town Hornets 1 – Devonshire Cougars 3
The Devonshire Cougars secured their spot in the FA Challenge Cup Semi-Finals with a 3-1 victory over the Dandy Town Hornets.
Under the guidance of Scott Morton as head coach and Aaron Denkins as assistant coach, the Dandy Town Hornets faced tough competition.
Quadir Maynard broke the deadlock for the Devonshire Cougars just before halftime. Despite Angelo Simmons’ equalizer for the Dandy Town Hornets in the 58th minute, Domico Coddington restored the lead for the Devonshire Cougars in the 81st minute. Lejuan Simmons sealed the victory with a goal in stoppage time, securing a 3-1 win for the Devonshire Cougars.
