    “public bus services”

Is it just me or does that sound like an oxymoron?

  2. Hilarious! says:

My man is back on camera! This speech sounds like AI wrote it, and naturally, “sustainable” is included. What does “sustainable” mean again? Not one person in the video smiled. What’s up with that? There is nothing about the costs for new roads to handle the extra weight of an e-bus. What is the cost to repair that e-bus that was recently in an accident? Can it even be repaired, or is it a total write-off?

I really could not clearly hear the questions being asked. Our esteemed Minister should have repeated the questions for the listeners. Nothing was said about the cost of all these charging stations.

Neither the Government nor RMI has released any spreadsheets showing alleged cost savings. Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), the e-bus consultants, is headquartered in the USA, not Canada. The lady in the hijab said Canada. RMI has no offices in Canada. The Government and RMI never mention the additional lost energy required to recharge the massive e-bus battery using fossil fuel-powered generators. 12% to 15% of energy is lost for various reasons during recharging, but taxpayers are paying for that energy. There is no doubt that additional energy costs are not figured into any alleged cost savings in the non-released spreadsheets.

What is public knowledge are RMI’s business connections to China with a Board member linked to the CCP, a large office in Beijing, and promoting things that benefit China. Using a debunked study, RMI last year pushed banning gas stoves in the USA and was called out by a US Congressman. How would banning gas stoves to save the planet go over in Bermuda? Something like prying from my cold hands comes to mind.

His lips were moving. What else do you need to know?

    • Triangle Drifter says:

Oh yes, let’s go back. Lets go waay back. Who was Transport Minister when all of this E bus nonsense started? Why it was Zane Desilva.

Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), is based in Colorado Springs, CO, a place where there is a super deluxe hotel with a world renowned golf course on the grounds. Seen the place. Amazing!

What were RMI fees for advice and how about factoring them into the cost of the E buses. How about all of the other fees added to the base cost of the buses, that you can bet have not been included. The last price given by then Minister Lawrrence Scott was $130,000 per bus, which of course is absolute nonsense. $130,000 just for the bus is a stretch, no battery bank, no charging system, no mods, no shipping, no shipping insurance etc. is far from actual cost driving out of the yard on it’s first paid run. Details. Pesky details.

Yes, let’s go back. Lets go waay back.

Who was Transport Minister in 1997?

  3. Steve says:

Flip flop is clueless just all the PLP so called politicians

    • Joe Bloggs says:

Ahh, but the Hon. Wayne Furbert is also a former leader of the UBP!

      • Answer says:

He wasn’t leader of the UBP. He was just like Jarion Richardson in the OBA. Another surrogate puppet.

    • Triangle Drifter says:

It doesn’t matter that he is clueless. 30-6. As long as the majority of voters agree with him all is well.

What does this say about the voters?

      • Voter says:

See that’s your problem always blaming the black voters. If you look at the obaubpeeeee it’s a WHITE party that continues to front black faces as tokens. You would think by now you would learn this trick doesn’t work anymore.
