Green Family Donates $25,000 To HOME
The Green family has donated $25,000 to HOME, with the funds to “support HOME’s programmes, where it is needed most.”
A spokesperson said, “This week, the Green family continued its support of local charity HOME, whose focus is to end homelessness in Bermuda, with a donation of $25,000.
“Since 2021, the Green family have donated $100,000 toward assisting in the solution for ending homelessness.”
Alexander Green said, “Unfortunately, we have all seen a rise in Bermudians living in tough conditions over the last few years. HOME has already made a huge difference in many people’s lives and begun the process of hopefully ending homelessness in Bermuda.”
Denise Carey, HOME’s Chief Executive Officer, said, “We are grateful and encouraged by the Green family’s ongoing support, as we work closely with our public, private, and community partners towards our vision of a Bermuda in which everyone has a secure and sustainable place to live.”
The spokesperson said, “The community can become involved by offering employment, lodging, groceries, and gently-used homeware items to HOME.
“The Greens’ donation will specifically support HOME’s programmes, where it is needed most.”
Good for you Green Family. I just love the ways in which you support our island. Thank you.
If every wealthy family in Bermuda donated $100,000 minimum, it would really make a difference!
To the Green family, thank you and here’s hoping that you see fit to contribute further sums.
wow!
That’s not a good look.
