PLP Thank Michael Dunkley, Wish Him Well
The Progressive Labour Party [PLP] has acknowledged the retirement announcement made by Michael Dunkley in the House of Assembly on Friday [March 15].
A spokesperson said, “The Progressive Labour Party acknowledges the announcement in the House of Assembly on Friday from Michael Dunkley of his impending retirement.
“After serving in various capacities of Premier, cabinet minister, Opposition Leader, Member of Parliament, and Senator, we must as a community recognize and celebrate the level and length of service Mr. Michael Dunkley has given to our country.
“While the ideologies and philosophies of the PLP differ greatly from those of both the UBP and OBA, we all serve our country with its best interest at heart. All who are in service of this sort, on both sides of the aisle, do so with great sacrifice of self, family, and time.
“We thank him for his service to Bermuda and wish him well in his retirement.”
