Tennis: Bermuda Defeat Dominican Republic
The Bermuda Boys Under 14 Tennis team participated in the ITF World Junior Team Competition in Santa Tecla, El Salvador.
In the playoffs for positions 13 to 17, Bermuda faced off against the Dominican Republic.
Bermuda emerged victorious over the Dominican Republic with a score of 2-1.
Dexter Snaith secured the initial lead for Bermuda, rallying from behind to win against Alejandro Morel with scores of 5-7, 6-4, 7-5.
However, the Dominican Republic evened the score at 1-1 when Daniel Suero won against Jaden Jones with straight sets of 6-3, 6-3.
The deciding match was a Doubles event, where Jones and Chase McCrimmon triumphed over Gabriel Lopez and Suero, finishing with scores of 7-5, 6-2.
