Scott Barnes Wins Three Races In Orlando
Scott Barnes started competing in the 2024 Florida Winter Tour during its third round. Entering the ROK Shifter Masters FWT Class for the practice round, he secured the sixth position with a five-lap time of 4:28.70.
In the day’s first heat, Barnes emerged victorious within his class by completing 12 laps in 10:32.69, surpassing the runner-up, Charlie Fonseca, by over two seconds.
He maintained his leading stance in the day’s second heat, finishing first with a 12-lap time of 10:34.90. This time, he extended his lead, finishing more than four seconds ahead of Jose Montalto, who came in second.
Continuing his impressive streak, Barnes clinched the win in the pre-final race with a 14-lap time of 12:24.37, once again finishing more than two seconds ahead of the second-place racer, Luis Gautier.
Barnes commented, “We laid down over 50 laps of racing today here in Orlando, we led every lap but one. This Maranello Kart USA Kart is on rails and the Carblos Racing Engines motor is rocking.”
