Adrian Roach is rubbing shoulders with some of the top names in boxing at a two-week training camp in Las Vegas.
The Bermudian amateur is honing his craft at the DLX Boxing Gym under coach Kay Koroma, who has trained world champions such as Shakur Stevenson and Jarrett Hurd.
Among the decorated boxers Roach is training alongside are former world champion Caleb Plant, Nigerian heavyweight Efe Ajagba, bantamweight Joshua Greer, and former unified super featherweight world champion Mikaela Mayer.
“Day three training out here in Vegas, couldn’t have asked for a better environment to grow,” Roach, 22, wrote on Facebook today [March 6].
“Coach Kay Koroma has been great in pushing me to my limit and holding me accountable to the reason I came out here, to improve.
“I’ve encountered boxers that inspire me and people I often see fighting on TV.
“To be in the same room and training alongside some of them is an experience I never would have thought real.”
Roach, who fights at welterweight or super-welterweight, has thanked his three main sponsors, Sentinel Defence Group, Buzz Café, and Beyond Inclusion, for helping fund his trip.
