Traffic: Single Lane Closure In Southampton

The Ministry of Public Works advised that a single lane closure will take place on South Road near Henry VIII, in Southampton.

A Government spokesperson said, “The lane closure will allow for paving works to take place between The Reefs Resort and Dolphin Ridge.

“The lane closure will commence on Tuesday, March 5th, 2024 and will continue until Friday, March 8th, 2024 weather permitting with a possibility for an extension into the following week.

“The work shall take place between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm, daily.

“Traffic control will be under direction of Ministry of Public Works representatives and will be managed with ‘Stop/Go’ signs and traffic lights. For safety purposes, no vehicular access will be granted through the closed lane.

“Motorists are advised to use alternative routes via Lighthouse Road and Middle Road.

“The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.
