USATF Bermuda Grand Prix On April 28th

The BTA officially announced the USATF Bermuda Grand Prix will be held on Sunday, April 28th.

A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Tourism Authority [BTA], in partnership with United States Track and Field [USATF], is excited to bring to the island the return of the most-anticipated USATF Bermuda Grand Prix as the perfect prelude to Paris for this summer’s Olympic Games. The premier track and field event will be broadcast live on NBC on Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 3pm-7pm from the Flora Duffy Stadium at the Bermuda National Sports Centre. “Celebrity all-star athletes such as the newest Fastest Man in the World, Noah Lyles [USA], the Fastest Woman Alive, Elaine Thompson-Herah [Jamaica] and Abby Steiner [USA], will line up against top track and field athletes from over 20 countries in what promises to be an adrenaline-fueled lead-up to the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris. Bermuda’s Olympic hopefuls, Dage Minors and Jah-Nhai Perinchief, will also take center stage, seeking to secure their places in Paris.

Beyond the professional Track & Field Championships, the event will provide exciting opportunities for Bermuda’s emerging talents. Participants can engage in the eagerly awaited Athene’s Fastest Kid on de Rock challenge. Additionally, spectators can cheer on Bermuda’s top athletes during the Special Olympics races.”
