BHCS Offers $2,500 Prize For 5k Running Race
The Bermuda HealthCare Sir Stanley Burgess 5k Race takes place on Sunday, May 5, 2024, and features $2,500 in prize money split equally between the 1st place adult male and 1st place adult female runners.
A spokesperson said, “The running race starts at the Clyde Best Centre for Excellence in Prospect at 8.30 am. BHCS is proud to continue its Title Sponsorship of The Bermuda HealthCare Sir Stanley Burgess 5k Race, the final race in the iconic Legends Series organized annually by Swan’s Running Club.”
Dr. Ewart Brown, Executive Chairman of BHCS, stated, “Sir Stanley Burgess was my neighbor in Flatts. I always admired his dedication and determination to succeed. At Bermuda HealthCare, we try every day to work with the same dedication and determination to deliver first-class health care to our patients. We are proud to work with Swan Running Club to promote good health and wellness.”
A Swans Running Club official stated, “We are thankful for Bermuda HealthCare Services’ sponsorship of the Sir Stanley Burgess 5K Race for three consecutive years. Legends such as Sir Stanley Burgess have contributed to the sport’s popularity. This year’s race has already attracted over 150 entrants and runners are signing up daily. Organizers and spectators alike are excited to see who will win this year’s race and claim the top combined prize of $5,000.”
