Greenville’s Unbeaten Run Comes To End
Rick Wright’s Greenville Triumph lost their first game of the season 1-0 away to Charlotte Independence on Friday [April 12].
Greenville had gone six matches unbeaten in all competitions.
Lyam MacKinnon missed a penalty for Greenville in the twelfth minute before Carlos Obregon headed home a winner for Charlotte in the 51st minute.
A former Saltus Grammar School student, Wright made appearances for the Bermuda and United States national teams.
The Bermudian was appointed head coach of Greenville at the start of the season.
Greenville are away to Louisville City in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup on Tuesday [April 16].
